RentFlow ("we", "us") is a property-management app that helps landlords manage properties, leases, documents, and maintenance, and lets their tenants view what is shared with them. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Account: first name, last name, email, and a securely hashed password.
- Property & lease data: properties you create, lease terms, and the activation codes used to connect tenants.
- Documents & media: files, photos, and videos you upload (e.g. lease documents, property photos, maintenance evidence).
- Maintenance requests: issues, comments, and attachments.
- Technical data: minimal logs needed to operate and secure the service.
How we use your information
- To provide core features (properties, leases, documents, media, maintenance, notifications).
- To connect a landlord with their tenant when a lease activation code is redeemed.
- To secure accounts and prevent abuse.
How we share information
We do not sell your data. Information is shared only:
- Between a landlord and the tenant of a lease, limited to what is marked shared.
- With infrastructure providers (e.g. Amazon Web Services) that host data on our behalf.
- When required by law.
Storage & security
Files are stored in Amazon S3. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections, passwords are hashed, and access is restricted by ownership and lease relationships.
Camera & photos
With your permission, the app accesses your camera and photo library only to let you upload property photos and maintenance attachments. Media is uploaded only when you choose to add it.
Data retention & your rights
We keep your data while your account is active. You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data, including account deletion, by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your personal data and associated files, subject to legal retention requirements.
Children
RentFlow is not intended for anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy and will revise the "last updated" date above.
